Waiting

Boooooringgg.

I have always been bad at waiting. And now it is all there is, just wait. All is done and taken care of already weeks back. You can't go too much out anymore, because moving is tough (and proximity to bathrooms is a must have). You do not want to start any new projects, because she might come out any day. And it is so close that it inevitably is close to the top of the mind most of the time, never far off. Can't stray far from the phone, and most definitely need to keep it charged. (BTW, have to publish the funny story of shaking friends here by forgetting to charge my phone a week ago on a Saturday - they lost their day thinking that we had taken off to the hospital, and it was just me forgetting to plug it in. Sorry. I also can't do any being away from the desk in the office in the middle of the day without getting inquiries of what is happening). But I digress. The main point was that it is just really boring time in the pregnancy. Could be any day, but could be four more weeks. Come on!

It is by the way funny that the definition of full term is either 37 or 38 weeks, depending on the source. 37 seems to be the choice of most authoritative sources, so our little one has been ripe for more than a week now. And according to the doctor today, packing 3.9kg already (3.9kg = approximately... a lot in lbs). Big girl, doing great, very active and happily staying in. Pushing our buttons already before birth. It figures.

You haven't reached the ultimate feeling of _waiting_. And you can't because you are a man. The ultimate comes when the baby is 2 weeks past the expected date. And the size of "the little one" is getting closer to 5 kg than 4. I wanted to kill anyone asking whether the baby is born or not. I'm sure many can add a lot to this... So keep on making Maria happy and get some sleep!! 8-)
