First, let me say that I am so happy no one is kicking me in the bladder right now.
Now that that is clear, into more thoughtful matters. The blog has gone public now with close friends and family, and I notice a pattern. Ladies are excited and participate. Men are either shocked to silence, or have nothing to say. Still, this is different from the private conversations, where mostly all of the fathers I know just about never bore to describe the exploits of their offspring - and most often this is accompanied with a dreamily amazed look in their eyes.
This seems to be a universal pattern, though. Ever try searching for discussion boards for new fathers in the web? Good luck finding one. Or more specifically good luck finding one that has not been overtaken by women, asking questions about home repairs and cars. Sigh. And in a decent book store there are on average about 72.8 books for mothers of babies or expectant mothers, and two for fathers. And out of those two one is supposedly humorous (i.e., idiotic), and the other one even has the word idiot in the title...
My humble request: Égalité! (except in the bladder kicking, mind you)

Side note: Reading back my blog posts I noticed one thing. There must be some sort of evil machine in the Google Blogger platform that inserts random spelling errors into the posts. No way I could have written all of them.

Ville love the blog. Its really nice to get a dad's perspective on the process. Welcome to the wonderful Phil & Teds world. Antti was not so brave to get the green one, so we have the navy blue one, not as exciting. Well done!!
Judy, thanks for the note! Let's see about the strollers... We still need to actually get around to buying them. But thank you for the recommendation. And the green is a cool color!
I read a book "Why Men Never Remember and Women Never Forget" by Marianne J. Legato and Laura Tucker and I recall that Mrs. Legatop had a reasonable explanation why women often love to discuss their children and men do not do that. Just don't remember it well anymore... Like, being in a conference or similar work related and on a lunch brake. If there are only women at the table they start to talk about children and is they'd be all men - propably work or sports, hehe. I good and funny book to understand men (and women) more. It might help you , Ville!
