Feeding frenzy

The latest and hottest thing in our family since last week is food. Oh. Yeah. Foodtime! Finally! It started with potatoes, continued with carrots, and now we are doing oatmeal. Next in line, I believe, winter squash and sweet potatoes. Wow.

Emilia seems to be a rather smart and well behaved kid when it comes to eating: at first taste of new food the reaction is "eh, what the heck are you trying to shove into me?", and on the second it is "well, I do not really know...", and on the third (and consequtive ones, it is "MOOORE of this stuff!". Good girl. She eats already more oatmeal than her dad. I think.

It was a big thing, waited for a long time, the first solid food feeding. Video camera ready and all. It was fun, but in the end it was a little bit anticlimatic, because my dadbook had hyped it up too much: "your baby will react like you just had given her a double shot of Jägermeister". If this is it, my girl will be a success the student circles later on, with her reactions to Jägermeister... She immediately really liked the stuff. That is it. And tongue was involved. See the video attached.

Eating is not related to just foodstuffs, mind you. Tasting is the generally preferred way of exploring the world nowadays. No matter if it is your dad's hairy arm, yor own toys, diapers on the floor (clean, yes), or, well, anything. Get a taste and then think about it.

The best feat in the area of oral acrobatics: BOTH feet in the mouth at the same time. Kids, do not try that at home.
