Three weeks in Finland. That was a long trip. Emilia is a good or not so good travel baby, it depends. Flight there was perfect (she slept). Flight back was loooong (she did not sleep). All the people got their share of Emilia. That was good. But it is so good to be back home.
Our little princess has grown and developed really a lot in the past weeks. How much exactly we'll hear after tomorrow's doctor visit. For one, she grabs stuff very well, and if in a right mood can keep herself entertained on her baby gym for a while just grabbing things over and over again (yes!).
One interesting things to note is that Emilia seems to be very social, or then she just has exactly what it takes to make a politician/beauty queen/sales person. Namely, she smiles oh so sweetly at everyone. Just everyone! And everyone is charmed, of course. I mean, who could resist. Including, I am glad to say, her dad's company's senior executives that we met on the flight back home :-)
By the way, a jetlagged baby is not fun. E.g., when she wakes up at 1am, ready for the morning to begin. Not fun. Interestingly, Emilia seems to have a very strong day-night cycle (as evident in her being a jealousy-causingly good sleeper at nights). Seemed that she was quite confused herself especially when we now got back - she feels rested, but it still is dark: what are you going to do? This was complemented with general restlesness, changing sleep patterns et cetera. I would not have thought that so small babies have such things happening with them, but it seems so. Funny.
Finally, I am glad to report on the achievement front the first proven rollover by Emilia. This was of the class "self propelled, but with optimized support conditions". I.e., I rolled her over from her back to stomach, and her arms got stuck under her body so she wanted to roll back - and did! This happened this Saturday, at the age of 3 months. Cool!
Right now my daughter is calling (increasingly demanding mmmMMMMMhhmmMMM-aMMMM type sound). We need to go take a bath.

Hei! Mukava kuulla, että matka meni hyvin. Emilia on tainnut tosiaan kietoa isänsä pikkusormensa ympäri ;). Olisi ollut kyllä kiva nähdä teitä, mutta teillä varmaankin riitti ohjelmaa... Terveisiä koko perheelle!
